Nicole Arsenault 

Graduate of University of Rhode Island 
Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology 

Nicole Arsenault of Rye, New Hampshire is a graduate of University of Rhode Island(URI) with a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology. Nicole took the pre-professional track in Kinesiology and is an aspiring heath care professional. After taking her first course in human anatomy her junior year of high school, she fell in love with the complex parts and functions of the human body. She decided on Kinesiology due to its immense amount of focus on human anatomy and physiology. On pursuit of her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, she learned of all the possible career options for her.

Nicole is an alumni member of the academic fraternity at URI called Delta Epsilon Mu. This fraternity is a community of pre-health professionals dedicated to academic achievement, professional development, and community service. A group which led her to become Basic Life Support (BLS) certified. Nicole was the secretary of the Exercise is Medicine Club at URI. Outside of her organizations Nicole enjoys doing research and internships. Nicole completed research with a professor in the Kinesiology department at URI during her spring semester in 2019. During the summer of 2019 Nicole worked as a Rehabilitation Aide at Brigham Health and Rehab in the northeastern part of Massachusetts for her kinesiology internship. In the past, she has also completed internships with organizations such as Boston Children’s Hospital and Martin’s Point Healthcare. Due to these internships she has completed an eight hour training course on CPI's Dementia Capable Care: Foundation Course.

Outside of school, Nicole has worked with children with special disabilities to improve social skills, independence, and community involvement of the child. She has also worked in several customer service roles, working hard to please the people she served. Nicole chooses to spend her free time with family and friends or traveling. Nicole has recently returned to the US from Italy, where she worked as an Au Pair. She is excited to be back home and have the opportunity to apply her knowledge and education in her future career.

My goal is to become a great healthcare professional who focuses on the holistic care of patients. It is an important part of my goal to make sure that any of my future patients feel that they are the reason I work so hard and endlessly.

My mission is to inspire others to live healthy lifestyles in all aspects of their life. I find appreciation for a healthy mind, body, and soul. I value hard work and the willingness to learn throughout life. Hopefully, together we can all find ways to better our health and healing.

THE FOGARTY CENTER

 

At The Fogarty center I have worked in Home Based Therapeutic Services and Personal Assistance Services and Support. In both roles I had the opportunity to work with individuals with special needs to develop social skills and independence. These skills were worked on within the community.

Brigham Health and Rehab is a skilled nursing facility in Newburyport, MA. At this site I was the Rehab Aide where I assisted speech therapists, physical therapists, and occupational therapists.
